Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
What is Two Factor Authentication (2FA)?
In order to obtain optimum security, one uses two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a specific type of multi-factor authentication (MFA) that strengthens access security by requiring two methods to verify your identity.
Why is Two Factor Authentication (2FA) important?
With 2-factor authentication, an extra layer of security is added to your account to prevent someone from logging in, even if they have your password. This extra security measure requires you to verify your identity using a randomized 6-digit code generated on the Google Authenticator app each time you attempt to log in.
In addition to added security; 2FA also saves you the hassles of OTPs and network congestions that can delay the login experience.
